Projects Manager

Unit 3 is a gas & condensate processing plant built to former Soviet Union Standards. Unit 3 has 36 dedicated production well flow-lines tied to it from a number of wells & manifold stations. Sour gas is processed to meet a hydrocarbon dew-point specification and is then transported to the Gazprom Orenburg Gas Plant for sweetening within the Russian Federation.
Subject Risk Reduction Program Projects Management team is an one developed for qualified implementation of an improvement plan which recognizes the life expectancy of Unit 3 to be circa 8 years from now.

- Leading teams and individuals, or working independently to plan and conduct the actions related to management of contracted resources and specialists by defining project deliverables, providing goals and directions, monitoring and assessing performance. Ensure project activities meet professional criteria and reporting standards, performance targets, budget and time-lines.
- Finalizing project statements including Authorizations for Expenditure and Value Assurance Reviews, preparing them for review and approval. Ensure that all deliverables, project-related documentation is issued in accordance with approved schedules. In conjunction with State Regulatory Authorities and contractors, facilitation and supporting commissioning, start-up and turnover of facilities
- Assistance and support the General Projects Manager by providing executive level management oversight and strategic direction to the GP Department’s divisions. Contribution in the development and modification of short - and long - range plans, collaboration in the preparation of the Department’s overall financial plan and budget.

Management the Basic & Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Handover. Specifically, managed and leaded the following main activities:
- Well sites construction at both existing and new wells - Drilling operations. Planned for 2008 app. 980 k sq m
- Production and Injection Wells Hook Up. During 2008 completed hook-ups of 11 wells and 10”flow lines, total length a. 37 km
- Implementation of the Train 4 project 10” and 14” Flow Lines - 15 km each.
- 24" sour gas line from KPC to Unit 3 total 17 km
- Horizontal Flare Ignition systems for 19 production wells including provision of automatic ignition facilities
- Fire / Gas & ESD Improvements and Telemetry Systems upgrade for 14 Production Wells
- Phase 2M Gathering System Expansion including extension of 2 RMS stations and implementation of 10” trunk lines, total length 17 km
- Implementation of the Horizontal Flare Ignition systems in the production & injection wells
At present these and other projects successfully, efficiently and safely close to completion with relevant budget savings and archived 1,1 million man-hours without any LTI (95% of this amount covers national contractors).

Main objectives and responsibilities of myself as Implementation Works Manager were:
- Management the implementation of projects assigned to ensure the achievement of the goals established according to the strategy and policies defined by the Project Manager.
- Elaboration and finalizing of the philosophy to develop projects establishing also the design, procurement, construction and commissioning strategies in order to achieve the objectives in accordance with budget, time schedule, quality and safety requirements.
- Engineering management during implementation of project design and field supervision over construction, start-up and development of production facilities.
- Management of preparation of data for concluding contracts with companies performing activities against the projects specified.
- Organisation activities in choosing construction areas, preparing work tasks for designing.
- Control of compilation and performance of integrated work plans/schedules.

- Upgrade of the existing Liquid Mud Plant and implementation of new TCC Plant process lines and facilities.

Project Status – Multi Year Project. Started in April 2006. Achieved completion progress for the phase 2007 – 120%. Project got an approval for development in 2008

- Caustic Neutralization Project at Karachaganak Processing Complex (KPC)

- Direct assistance and support to Field Project Managers and Mechanical Construction Management in implementation of projects. Including investigations/reviews and gathering data
from Production / Welding / Electrical / QC Departments and other operational groups and companies, preparation of engineering reports and providing engineering input. Interface between operational sections and departments
- Direct control and engineering support of all sub-contractors for the erection of mechanical systems related to process and other buildings / facilities. Fabrication & installation of all equipment and associated piping for ventilation, heating, cooling, domestic water, fire fighting, gas supply and sewage systems in 36 process / non-process buildings.
- Engineering expertise of design and mechanical / construction drawings. Raising and resolving technical queries, providing engineering input and solutions to operational and construction problems. Compiling Bulk MTOs, control over the issuing of all materials to sub-contractors. Pre- commissioning and handing over to Client of completed systems.
